Feline Ultrasound in Action: Case-based POCUS & Guided Sampling Workshop
The use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is steadily growing in veterinary general practice, thanks to advances in technology that have made ultrasound more accessible and user-friendly. While many veterinarians are eager to incorporate ultrasound into their practice to help detect abnormalities and guide diagnostic decisions of common feline diseases, they often aren’t sure where to begin. In this Workshop, we will introduce the technique of ultrasound scanning and how to incorporate it into the work-up of commonly presented feline diseases involving the liver, kidney, bladder, and spleen. The second part of this Workshop will include hands-on scanning and fine-needle aspirate techniques on actual phantoms.
