Volunteer with the AAFP
AAFP Members are uniquely positioned to contribute to our mission of advancing the field of feline healthcare and wellbeing through a variety of volunteer opportunities. The breadth, depth, and diversity of experience of AAFP Members is what enriches our whole community. We invite you to explore the following volunteer options and find the right fit for you.
Guide the Organization
The AAFP has several leadership bodies that support, promote, and shape the future of feline health and wellbeing.
- Board of Directors – two-year commitment, with at least four meetings, two in-person (travel required – travel costs reimbursed).
- Standing Committees – two-year commitment with approximately quarterly virtual meetings.
- Task Forces – short-term volunteer service opportunities developed to advance a specific project or strategic goal. Once completed, the task force disbands.
Communicate Feline Health and Wellbeing
There are many opportunities to communicate the latest in feline health information to veterinary professionals and wider audiences as an AAFP Volunteer.
- Be an interviewer on AAFP’s podcast All Cats Considered.
- Be a moderator for an AAFP webinar or conference session.
If you are interested in any of the above opportunities, or you would like to discuss Volunteer options, please complete the Volunteer Form. AAFP Headquarter staff will contact you to discuss how to best apply your talents, skills, and interests to advance feline health and wellbeing.
