The Cat Clinic of Asheville is Gold Standard Cat Friendly certified and staffed with Low Stress and Fear Free Certified medical staff. We are generously staffed with highly experienced technicians and assistants. You will not be placing catheters or taking x-rays – our doctors do “doctor stuff”. We have all the bells and whistles for full medical work ups and surgery, but we also encourage referral to our local specialty clinics when you feel it is in the best interest of your patient. We are open Monday through Friday with no regular weekend hours. And with three 24-hour emergency facilities operating within 25 miles of the clinic, we are lucky to be able to refer emergencies to the appropriate facility as needed.

The clinic is privately owned and managed in a team-oriented approach. Most importantly, we do not tolerate belligerent, aggressive, or otherwise abusive behavior from our clientele – we want to work with our clients, not against them!
We are looking for an experienced veterinarian to work anywhere from 1.5 to 3 days a week with potential to develop into full time hours in the future. The perfect candidate will express a genuine love for cats, dedication to low stress handling, passion for high quality compassionate medical care, and the right personality to fit in with our amazing staff. We encourage lifelong learning and collaboration, and would love to know what you are passionate about. Surgical skills or certification in eastern medicine modalities would be considered a major bonus. There is also potential for future ownership opportunity or practice purchase for the right candidate. Compensation will be a competitive base hourly salary to account for all the time you work (we all know the job rarely ends the minute the last patient walks out the door) with quarterly production bonus (no negative accrual).
