Just Cats Clinic is seeking an associate veterinarian who is excited to learn, ask questions, and develop their clinical skills in a collaborative, feline-only hospital. Whether your interests include primary care, urgent care, hospitalized case management, or surgery, we want to help you build a role that fits your goals.
For new and recent graduates, this is an opportunity to develop clinical judgment with experienced veterinarians available for case discussion and guidance. Build confidence in diagnostics, treatment planning, client communication, and case management while following patients from presentation through recovery.
Interested in surgery? Develop your skills with guidance from experienced surgical colleagues. Prefer a medical role without surgery? That is welcome, too.
What You’ll Do
Provide individualized primary care for feline patients.
Develop diagnostic and treatment plans with support from experienced colleagues.
Help manage stable hospitalized patients.
Follow cases from admission through discharge and follow-up.
Build relationships with clients and learn to communicate complex medical information clearly.
Perform dentistry and soft tissue surgery if these align with your interests.
Learning & Mentorship
Collaborative case discussions to strengthen clinical reasoning and decision-making.
Guidance with feline diagnostics, treatment planning, and hospitalized patient care.
Support with client conversations, including complex cases and difficult decisions.
Opportunities to develop procedural and surgical skills based on your interests.

Schedule
Full-time: 32 hours/week. 4 day work week.
Part-time opportunities available.
Shift arrangements discussed based on your role and availability.
Clinic open 365 days/year. Weekends and Holidays are covered by our Urgent Care team.
Compensation
$100,000–$135,000 base.
23% production, with no negative accrual.
Compensation will be based on experience, schedule, and responsibilities.

Just Cats Clinic is a privately owned, feline-only hospital in Reston, Virginia. Open 365 days a year, we provide comprehensive, continuous care with an emphasis on low-stress handling and individualized medicine. Our services include primary care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, urgent care, and overnight hospitalization for stable patients.
