ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Veterinary Technician or assistant at NCC, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring top-notch care for our feline patients. Your responsibilities will include:
· Assisting with feline-specific medical procedures, diagnostics, and treatments, including blood draws, radiographs, and dental cleanings
· Safely handling and gently restraining cats using low-stress, feline-friendly techniques
· Administering medications, vaccinations, and fluids as directed by the veterinarian, with a keen understanding of feline pharmacology
· Educating cat owners on feline nutrition, behavior, and preventative care to ensure lifelong health and well-being
· Maintaining a clean, quiet, and stress-free hospital environment tailored to the unique needs of feline patients
· Supporting the team with inventory management and ensuring essential supplies are stocked and ready for use
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
· Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required
· A passion for feline medicine and low-stress handling techniques
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
