Whisker Wellness Center in picturesque Gig Harbor, WA is thrilled to welcome a veterinarian to our growing practice. A privately owned cat-exclusive hospital which opened in 2024, we are building a practice that believes in progressive medicine, elevating client and patient care, and celebrating our love of felines.
What We Offer
* A beautiful, new hospital, Certified Cat-Friendly (gold level) and equipped with all the modern amenities
* A team of passionate cat people – we utilize fear-free handling and perform diagnostics and treatments in exam rooms. You’ll never see scruffing here.
* Generous Pro-Sal compensation – $120,000 base salary with 22% production bonus for 4 day work week. No negative accrual.
* We close at 5 pm. No evenings or weekends EVER!
* Benefits Package: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, continuing education allowance, reimbursement for professional dues, liability insurance, and license fees, uniform allowance, discounted pet care, and more.
* Close relationships with specialists: we regularly schedule radiologists, cardiologists, and surgeons to perform diagnostics/procedures in our hospital. Multiple referral hospitals are just minutes away. We coordinate teaching rounds with a local internist and VIN consultant to stay current with the latest medicine.
What We Seek
* Cat enthusiast – our clients expect nothing less!
* Experienced practitioner (minimum 3 years experience) with a strong interest in surgery and dentistry.
* Full time candidate ideal but also open to a part-time position for the right candidate.
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
* Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Washington state
* DEA certification
* USDA accreditation or willingness to obtain
