Creation of a Midlevel Practitioner in Veterinary Medicine (Colorado Proposition 129)

The Feline Veterinary Medical Association (FelineVMA) opposes the creation of a Midlevel Veterinary Practitioner. There is not an established educational or instructional pathway to allow these individuals to safely treat and manage the health of pets, nor is there Licensing Board oversight. The FelineVMA supports continued use and advancement of credentialed veterinary technicians and veterinary technician specialists as a critical part of the practice team.
