Intercat tension affects 62.2-87.7% of cat households with two or more cats, yet often goes unrecognized due to subtle signs. This webinar on the 2024 Intercat Tension Guidelines will support veterinary professionals in general practice to facilitate caregiver education on the prevention and recognition of intercat tension. This session will cover the impact of intercat tension, how to recognize the subtle signs, prevention of intercat tension, the importance of meeting each cat’s environmental needs, and how to help caregivers introduce a new cat. Attendees can also expect to learn about first aid management to manage risk, restrict the problem, and how to resolve less difficult cases of intercat tension.
