The FelineVMA and Royal Canin are teaming up to help 20 veterinary students at AVMA-accredited veterinary colleges and universities in the United States and Canada experience the 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference. Apply today for your chance to get FREE registration to the Feline Annual Conference in Portland, OR, this September 18-21.
Application
Students in good standing at an AVMA-accredited college or university in the United States and Canada must submit their application by Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Please note this award applies to the in-person Conference registration only.
The application period has concluded.
Selection
Chosen candidates will be notified via email by May 23, 2025. Those who are not selected will still have the opportunity to register for the 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference before the early bird deadline.
Please note:
- Submission of an application form does not guarantee complimentary Conference registration.
- Previous FelineVMA/Royal Canin Award recipients are not eligible for another award.
- Award recipient contact information will be shared with the sponsor, Royal Canin.
- As a Student Award recipient, you will benefit from attending a lunch meeting* with Royal Canin & FelineVMA representatives, where you will:
- Learn more about feline nutrition.
- Provide your insights on how our organizations can better support the needs of students.
- Have a chance to ask questions – any question is fair game!
- Enjoy a valuable networking opportunity with the other Student Award participants.
- Registration instructions will be provided in the award acceptance email.
- Award recipients must be students at the time of the Conference.
Registration
- Candidates chosen for the award must reply via email by Monday, June 16, 2025, notifying the FelineVMA that they accept the Student Award and will attend the 2025 Annual Conference.
- If a candidate does not reply by the deadline, an alternate candidate will be chosen for the award. Please ensure your email address is correct and you are receiving emails from info@catvets.com.
- Complimentary Conference registration includes the Conference fee, breakfasts, coffee breaks, two receptions, tote bag, Conference proceedings (online), giveaways, access to the Exhibit Hall, and more! (Please note this does not include the Pre-conference Day Registration, ancillary sessions, workshops, or additional items as they must be purchased by the attendee.)
- Award recipients must attend the in-person FelineVMA Annual Conference and a meeting with FelineVMA leaders hosted by Royal Canin. Registration instructions will be provided in the award acceptance email.
- Please verify that the Conference dates (September 19–21, 2025) will not conflict with your schedule before applying.

Coming Soon – Student Travel Fund Scholarship
If traveling to the Annual Conference is cost-prohibitive, consider applying for a Student Travel Fund Scholarship from the FelineVMA! This scholarship is available to veterinary and veterinary technician students who are Student Chapter Members and have completed the Cat Friendly Certificate Program. Six scholarships of up to $1,000 in travel reimbursement will be awarded. The Student Travel Fund Scholarship launches on May 8, 2025.
