From time to time the FelineVMA partners with other associations and organizations to further their shared mission and goals.
AAHA: The American Animal Hospital Association enhances the abilities of veterinarians to provide quality medical care to companion animals, enables veterinarians to successfully conduct their practices and maintain their facilities with high standards of excellence, and to meet the public’s needs as they relate to the delivery of small animal veterinary medicine.
AAMeFe: The Asociación Argentina de Medicina Felina is a nonprofit organization for Veterinarians established in 1998, whose goal has been and still is to provide our members with high-quality continuing education resources on feline medicine in all its aspects in order to give our cat patients the best possible attention according to their unique medical and behavioral traits. AAMeFe endorses the Cat Friendly Practice® program.
ABVP: The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners advances the quality of veterinary medicine through certification of veterinarians who demonstrate excellence in species-oriented clinical practice.
ACC&D: The mission of the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs is to expedite the successful introduction of methods to non-surgically sterilize dogs and cats and to support the distribution and promotion of these products to humanely control cat and dog populations worldwide.
ASV: The mission of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians is to advance and support the practice of shelter medicine in order to improve community animal health and well-being. ASV endorses the Cat Friendly Practice® program.
AUMeFe: The Uruguayan Association of Feline Medicine (AUMeFe) is a group of enthusiastic veterinary doctors with a special interest in developing feline medicine in Uruguay. AUMeFe was founded in 2019 as a Specialist Group of the Uruguayan Society of Companion Animal Veterinary Specialists (SUVEPA). AUMeFe is working to advance feline medicine in Uruguay, providing additional training opportunities to its members and provide tools to improve the quality of life of Uruguay’s feline population.
AVMA: The mission of the American Veterinary Medical Association is to improve animal and human health and advance the veterinary medical profession.
CAPC: The mission of the Companion Animal Parasite Council is to foster animal and human health, while preserving the human-animal bond, through recommendations for the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control of parasitic infections.
CATalyst Council: The CATalyst Council is a national organization which includes a wide variety of animal health and welfare organizations as well as corporate members of the animal health industry that are working together to improve the health and welfare of America’s favorite pet. CATalyst Council endorses the Cat Friendly Practice® program.
Cat Healthy: Cat Healthy is an initiative designed to help cats get improved preventive healthcare. Cat Healthy provides Canadian veterinary professionals, cat shelters, pet stores, breeders, and cat owners with health recommendations, tips, tools and tactics to help cats lead longer and happier lives. Cat Healthy endorses the Cat Friendly Practice® program.
dvm360®: dvm360® is a leading publication for veterinary professionals, delivering relevant, real-world coverage of the industry while meeting the everyday clinical needs of small-animal and equine veterinarians. dvm360® is one of the veterinary profession’s print resource for news, product information, tools and veterinary practice solutions.
El Latin: Initiated by the Latin American Veterinary Conference (LAVC), El Latin is a dedicated organization with a primary objective of enhancing the quality of ongoing education for veterinarians. Recognizing the trend of increased cat ownership, El Latin staunchly advocates for the imperative of veterinarians pursuing additional training. In 2021, El Latin started the Feline Forum, an interactive platform designed for sharing knowledge with experts in feline medicine and those involved in the animal health industry specifically concentrating on this species. Envisioned to be the world’s premier organization in continued education centered around feline medicine, El Latin is on a mission to facilitate continuing education for veterinarians across Latin America.
EveryCat Health Foundation: Winn Feline Foundation is now EveryCat Health Foundation. EveryCat Health Foundation advances feline health by supporting groundbreaking research and education. Since 1968, EveryCat Health Foundation has awarded grants for groundbreaking research that benefits every cat, every day. From disease prevention and veterinary treatment to healthy home habits, we advance the science of better medicine for millions of cats and their cat-loving owners just like us.
ISFM: The International Society of Feline Medicine is the veterinary division of International Cat Care and provides resources for veterinarians as well as developed and leads the Cat Friendly Clinic program outside of the Americas.
IVAPM: The International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management is a multi-disciplinary organization dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and advancing pain management in animals.
NAVTA: NAVTA is a diverse community of Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, students, and veterinary assistants, united in advancing the profession of veterinary nursing through strategic advocacy, awareness, and professional development.
Partners for Healthy Pets: The mission of Partners for Healthy Pets is to ensure that pets receive the preventive healthcare they deserve through regular visits to a veterinarian. The AAFP is an Association Member.
Veterinary Visionaries: Veterinary Visionaries is a collaboration of veterinary associations coming together to share ideas, co-create solutions, and form a unified front to face the future by providing common ground and collective leadership in a time when the profession faces unrelenting challenges and evolving opportunities.
