Early Career Veterinarian Scholarship Program

Royal Canin is happy to support veterinary education in feline medicine by offering 25 registration scholarships for early career veterinarians for the 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference. To qualify, veterinarians must be licensed, have graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school within the last five (5) years, have not yet become board-certified, and be working in the U.S. or Canada. The 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference takes place in Portland, OR, from September 18–21, 2025.

Application

Early career veterinarians interested in applying for a complimentary three-day 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference registration may submit their application now. Once we reach capacity for applications, the submission process will close. Please note that this only applies to the in-person Conference registration.

Application

The application period begins on May 14, 2025.

Selection

Up to 25 early career veterinarians will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis from those who express a clear interest and passion for feline medicine. We will notify the scholarship recipients via email by Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Those who are not chosen will still have the opportunity to register for the Conference before the early-bird deadline.

Please note:

  • This scholarship is only applicable to the in-person three-day Conference registration.
  • If you are a previous Early Career Veterinarian Scholarship Program recipient, you are not eligible to receive it again.
  • Submission of an application form does not guarantee complimentary Conference registration.
  • Early Career Veterinarian Scholarship recipients’ contact information will be shared with the sponsor, Royal Canin.
  • Those receiving the scholarship are required to attend the 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference and attend a dinner with the sponsor and FelineVMA leadership on Friday, September 19, 2025 in the evening. More specifics will follow.

Registration

  • Candidates chosen for the scholarship must confirm their acceptance of the scholarship and verify they will attend the 2025 Annual Conference and sponsor dinner by June 23, 2025.
  • If a candidate does not reply by the above stated deadline and make the required deposit, an alternate candidate will be contacted. Please ensure your email address is correct and you are receiving emails from info@catvets.com.
  • The deadline to submit your Conference registration to the 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference is July 18, 2025. Please note that to register for the Conference, a refundable deposit of $150 will be needed. This deposit will be refunded after the 2025 FelineVMA Annual Conference and is contingent upon the scholarship recipient’s attendance at the entire Conference and dinner with FelineVMA leaders hosted by Royal Canin. Instructions for registration procedures will be supplied in the scholarship notification email.
  • Complimentary three-day Conference registration includes the Conference registration fee, breakfasts, coffee breaks, three receptions, tote bag, Conference proceedings (online), giveaways, access to the Exhibit Hall, and more! (Please note this does not include the Pre-Conference Day Registration, ancillary sessions, or additional items, as they must be purchased by the attendee.)
  • Please verify that the Conference dates (September 19–21) will not conflict with your schedule before applying for the scholarship.
