2022 Call for Oral Presentations - Share Your Feline Prowess

Showcase your research to over 1,500 attendees from around the world at the 2022 AAFP Annual Conference! Our attendees are interested in the most up-to-date feline medicine and research information. The AAFP Conference provides you with a unique opportunity to present your research to leaders and experts in feline medicine.

We are now accepting submissions for virtual oral presentations for the 2022 AAFP Annual Conference, which will take place October 27 - 30, 2022.

Submission Deadline - April 18, 2022 - 11:59 PM EDT

Overview:

  • Oral Presentations can include pearls of practice, novel approaches, highlight innovative work or techniques, feature video demonstrations, or consist of other significant contributions or findings to practicing feline medicine that would be useful and interesting to attendees.
  • Oral presentations selected for the conference will be presented virtually on the AAFP's online conference platform and available on-demand for all attendees to enjoy.
  • Unpublished oral presentations that have been presented elsewhere may be submitted with a "reprinted with permission" statement.
  • Oral presentations that have been submitted as a full-length publication before the submission deadline are not acceptable.
  • One presenter will receive a 20% discount on the 2022 three-day conference registration (in-person or virtual).
  • The oral presentation does not have to correlate with the theme of the conference.
  • Single-case reports are not acceptable and are criteria for immediate rejection.
  • Oral presentations describing a study using clinical cases that lack confirmed, definitive diagnoses are not acceptable and is criteria for immediate rejection.
  • The deadline for oral presentation submissions is April 18, 2022, by 11:59 PM EDT.

Instructions for Oral Presentation Submissions:

  • All oral presentation submissions must be submitted through AAFP's online submission system. The presenting author will receive an email confirmation that the oral presentation was successfully submitted.
  • The following contact information is required for the presenting author: Prefix, First name, Last name, Institution, Department, City, State, Country, Phone Number, and Email Address. For co-authors, we require Prefix, First name, Last name, Institution, City, State, and Country.
  • Please provide your submission in the text box included in our online submission form. You may upload up to three images.
  • Oral presentation submissions should be a concise summary of the final presentation.
  • Submissions must be in English, free of errors, and single-spaced.
  • Proof your submission carefully.
  • Each presenting author must disclose their financial support and any conflict of interest.

Selection:

All oral presentations will be reviewed by the Task Force of veterinary professionals and researchers.

  • The primary contact for each oral presentation will be notified of selection by May 9, 2022.
  • One presenter for each accepted oral presentation will receive a 20% discount on the 2022 three-day conference registration (in-person or virtual).

Oral Presentation Requirements:

  • Promotional marketing pieces for companies or products are not allowed to be displayed on the oral presentation.
  • Oral presenters must include a slide at the beginning of the presentation disclosing potential conflicts of interest or stating no conflicts.
  • Title, author(s), and institution/organization must be placed at the top of your slide in large lettering (at least 2 inches high).
  • The design and layout should be concise and include clear headings.
  • All presentations selected for the conference must be pre-recorded and provided by the primary contact. 
  • Each oral presentation should be a maximum of 20 minutes in length.
